What to Know Before Switching to Natural Deodorant

Switching to natural deodorant can feel like a big change, especially if you’ve used antiperspirant for years. The biggest thing to know is that natural deodorant and antiperspirant are not the same thing.

Antiperspirants are designed to reduce sweating. Natural deodorants are designed to help with odor and everyday freshness while allowing your body to sweat naturally.

Sweating is normal. It is part of how your body regulates temperature. The goal of BODY BARE™ is not to stop sweat completely, but to help you feel fresh, comfortable, and confident throughout the day.

You may notice a transition period

Some people feel like their body needs time to adjust after switching from antiperspirant to natural deodorant. During this time, you may notice more moisture or feel like you need to reapply more often.

That does not always mean natural deodorant is not working. It may simply mean your body is adjusting to a different type of underarm care.

Apply less than you think

With natural deodorant, more is not always better. Applying too much can make the product feel heavy or sticky.

Start with a light layer on clean, dry underarms. You can always reapply later if needed.

Choose the right formula for your skin

Some people do well with baking soda in deodorant, while others prefer a baking soda-free formula. If your underarms tend to be sensitive, BODY BARE™ offers baking soda-free options for a softer-feeling underarm routine.

Give yourself time

Natural deodorant is personal. What works best can depend on your skin, activity level, body chemistry, and scent preference.

Start simple. Choose one scent, apply lightly, and give your body a little time to adjust.

Go Fresh. Go Bare.
