Is BODY BARE™ an antiperspirant?
No. BODY BARE™ is a natural deodorant, not an antiperspirant. It is designed to help with everyday freshness and odor control, but it does not stop your body from sweating.
Sweating is natural. Our formulas help absorb some moisture and keep you feeling fresh without aluminum.
Is BODY BARE™ aluminum-free?
Yes. BODY BARE™ deodorants are made without aluminum.
Is BODY BARE™ paraben-free?
Yes. BODY BARE™ deodorants are made without parabens.
Is BODY BARE™ phthalate-free?
Yes. BODY BARE™ deodorants are made without phthalates.
Do all BODY BARE™ deodorants contain baking soda?
No. Most BODY BARE™ deodorants are made with baking soda, however, our Unscented is baking soda-free. Scented baking soda-free options will be added soon.
Our baking soda-free options are a good choice for customers who experience skin sensitiveness and prefer a gentler underarm formula.
Which BODY BARE™ deodorants are baking soda-free?
Our Baking Soda-Free collection includes deodorants made without baking soda.
Our Unscented option is also baking soda-free and made without added fragrance.
Is Unscented completely fragrance-free?
Yes. Our Unscented deodorant is made without added fragrance or essential oil blend.
Why do some deodorants contain baking soda?
Baking soda is used in select BODY BARE™ formulas to help support odor control. Some people do well with baking soda, while others prefer a baking soda-free option for a softer feel on sensitive underarms.
What ingredients are used in BODY BARE™ deodorant?
BODY BARE™ deodorants are made with skin-softening oils and butters, plant-based waxes, and moisture-absorbing powders.
Depending on the formula, ingredients may include organic coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, candelilla wax, kaolin clay, baking soda, arrowroot powder, and fragrance or essential oil blend.
Why is arrowroot powder only in the baking soda-free formula?
Arrowroot powder is used in our baking soda-free formula as a lightweight natural powder to help absorb moisture and create a soft, fresh feel.
Will natural deodorant stop wetness?
BODY BARE™ helps absorb some moisture, but it will not stop sweating like an antiperspirant. If you are switching from antiperspirant, you may notice more natural perspiration at first.
Is there a transition period when switching to natural deodorant?
Some people notice a transition period when switching from antiperspirant to natural deodorant. Your body may need time to adjust to sweating naturally again. During this time, you may want to reapply as needed.
How do I apply BODY BARE™ deodorant?
Apply a light layer to clean, dry underarms. A little goes a long way. If needed, reapply during the day. Allowing 10 minutes to dry before dressing is recommended.
For best results, avoid over-applying. Too much product may feel heavy on the skin.
Can I use BODY BARE™ after shaving?
You can, but freshly shaved skin may be more sensitive. If your underarms feel irritated after shaving, wait before applying or choose one of our baking soda-free options.
What if I have sensitive skin?
If you know your underarms are sensitive, we recommend starting with our Baking Soda-Free options or Unscented deodorant. As with any body-care product, stop use if irritation occurs.
Can I use BODY BARE™ on other areas of the body?
BODY BARE™ is designed for underarm use. We do not currently market it as a whole-body deodorant.
How should I store my deodorant?
Store your deodorant in a cool, dry place. Because BODY BARE™ is made with oils, butters, and waxes, avoid leaving it in hot cars, direct sunlight, or high heat.
What happens if my deodorant softens or melts?
If your deodorant softens from heat, place it upright in a cool room or refrigerator until it firms back up. Texture may change slightly, but it can usually still be used once solid again.
